Gamma Blue 11

With another holiday season come and gone we saw some amazing releases as we should. One of those releases were the highly anticipated Air Jordan 11 Retro “Gamma Blue.” The non-original colorway Jordan had people lining up to cop a pair and while the Gamma Blue color palette seemed to be executed on multiple different model sneakers (LeBron XI, Air Jordan 12 Retro, etc) we are going to have to favor the silhouette of the Jordan 11. Being that the Jordan brand took a gamble on introducing a brand new colorway for this model, it was definitely a safe bet and was executed in full force with other models with the same color palette.

I’m not one to typically rock kicks with black outsoles but these were just too damn stealth and chic to pass up. The predominately black uppers are a familiar shade when it comes to the 11’s and the amount of Gamma Blue hits that were incorporated was the perfect balanced amount to give these 11’s a cohesive look. Add in contrasting accents of Varsity Maize Yellow giving the perfect amount of  highlights to give it that sleek look without overpowering the naturally dark colorway. The Gamma 11’s have probably been one of the most blogged kicks during the holiday season which is why it made it to Complex Magazine’s “The 20 Best-Selling Air Jordans of 2013” list clocking in at a highly respectable #2 with a total of 481,678 units sold. These without a doubt are going to only increase in price and value as time passes so if you’ve been debating whether or not you want to cop a pair, look at the facts and numbers. Over 480K units sold, brand new colorway and sold out at all retailers. You do the math!
